     Surrounded by the lush foliage, exotic flowers and sea views of world-class Palmetto Bay Plantation eco-resort, this 3 bedroom 2 bath secluded Roatan vacation rental home by owner is a 'green' architecturally designed Balinese home. Build with richly hued hardwoods, these homes are designed to stay cool all summer long without the need for air-conditioning. Breezes are captured and directed throughout the home via louvered-wall ventilation, vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, and the deeply shaded, wrap-around covered lanai.
     Cross the cool lanai and roll back the floor-to-ceiling, louvered double doors to enter the great room. Soaring ceilings add to the expansive interior, which features a living room area, a dining area, a well equipped kitchen with full-sized American appliances and an ingeniously designed counter/bar.
     Situated at one end of this Roatan vacation home, the master suite features a queen Captain's bed, hand crafted of Honduran hardwoods, a dressing room, an oversized shower finished with imported stone tile, and a private lanai. The other 2 bedrooms are at the opposite end of the home. The second bedroom features a private lanai and a queen Captain's bed. The third bedroom has an American full-size Captain's bed. Both beds are handcrafted of Honduran hardwoods.
     A minute's walk through lush gardens leads to miles of secluded white sand beaches, untouched coral reefs, and the resort's stellar amenities. Villa Serena guests enjoy full access to WiFi, the swimming pool with deck hot tub, dive shop, nature preserve and bird sanctuary, kayaks, private dock for swimming or just relaxing on the hammocks, and oceanfront restaurant.
     A cell phone, with local minutes, is complimentary and available for guests' use.
